By default, adding a product to the cart opens Rey’s cart panel. This module replaces that with a popup showing more products instead: up-sells, related products, anything from a chosen category, or content you write yourself. It is the moment a customer is most likely to add a second item, so it is worth using well.

Turning it on
Open Rey Theme → Settings → WooCommerce → Product Page → Summary Components and expand the Add to cart (block) group. Two options there matter, in this order:
- Ajax Add to Cart has to be set to Yes. This is what lets the product be added without reloading the page, and the popup only exists because of it. It is on by default.
- Set After “Added To Cart” Behaviour to Show Popup. The other choices are Open Cart Panel (the default), Redirect to Checkout and Do nothing.
Note: If Show Popup is not one of the choices, the module is off. Open Rey Theme → Modules and enable Products Popup, after “Added To Cart”. If the whole option is greyed out instead, Ajax Add to Cart is set to No.
As soon as Show Popup is selected, a Products Popup Options group appears underneath with everything below in it.
Choosing what the popup shows
Type of content is the main decision:
- Up-sell products (the default): the up-sells set on the product that was just added. The most deliberate option, since you pick those products yourself on each product.
- Cross-sell products: WooCommerce’s cross-sells, normally meant for the cart page.
- Related products: whatever WooCommerce works out from categories and tags. Nothing to configure, and never empty.
- Products in Category or Products having tags: the same list for every product, picked from a dropdown that appears once you choose it. Useful for promoting one collection across the whole shop.
- Custom content: no products at all, just text you write in the editor that appears below. Good for a shipping promise or a discount code.
- Global Section: a Generic Global Section built in Elementor, so the popup can contain anything you can design.
When there are no products to show
Up-sells, cross-sells, a category or a tag can all come back empty for a given product. Fallback if no products decides what happens then: Show Related, which is the default and means the popup always has something in it, or Don’t display the popup, which falls back to the normal add to cart behaviour.
The rest of the options
- Add on catalog too: off by default, so the popup only appears on product pages. Turn it on and it appears in the shop and category grids as well, whenever a product is added from a listing.
- Add Carousel: on by default. More products are loaded and shown as a carousel the customer can scroll through. Turn it off for a short, fixed row.
- Popup title: the heading above the products. It reads “You might be interested in..” unless you change it.
- Disable Up-Sells Section: only shown when the type is Up-sell products. It removes the up-sells block further down the product page, so the same products are not offered twice on one page.
If the popup does not appear
- The product has nothing to show. With Up-sell or Cross-sell products and the fallback set to Don’t display the popup, a product without up-sells shows nothing at all. Set some up-sells on the product, or switch the fallback to Show Related.
- You added the product from the catalog and Add on catalog too is off.
- Ajax Add to Cart went back to No, which disables the whole behaviour setting.
- A cached page is being served. Clear your caching plugin after changing these settings.
